Fraser Island is the largest sand island in the world,
Covering 1630 square Km, a lot of sand castles are to be made!
You can only reach the island by ferry and a 4x4 is a must, avoid the tours and rent a vehicle is loads better!, we met loads of people that so wished they'd gone there own way instead of having to rely on the mercy of the umbrella holders!

When humans were created and needed a place to live, the mighty god Beeral sent his messenger Nendingie with the goddess K’gari down from heaven to create the land and mountains, rivers and sea. K’gari fell in love with the earth’s beauty and did not want to leave it. So Yendingie changed her into a heavenly island - Frazer Island.... really!
