Ignored by pretty much everyone as David is right at the end of the corridor, are Michelangelo's Prisoners, haunting figures half -imprisoned in stone. Whether they're meant to be like that or never got round to being finishing we'll never know.

They were actually just left unfinished because they were meant to go on Pope Julius II's tomb which kept getting postponed and downsized. BTW you were not supposed to be taking fotos in the Accedemia Museum
